Hello Mike!
It is a pleasure to welcome you to planDisney! Thank you for stopping by with an excellent question!
Since its reopening, the Walt Disney World Resort has paid close attention to health and safety protocols. Based on recent trends and guidance from health officials, more adjustments have been recently made to these measures, including face coverings.
Face coverings are now optional in most areas for vaccinated Guests, but please note that they are required for all visitors using Disney bus transportation, the monorail, and the Disney Skyliner. Guests who are not fully vaccinated must continue to wear face coverings in all indoor locations and while enjoying attractions and using transportation (except ferry boats). Face coverings are only optional in outdoor areas and pool decks for Guests who are not fully vaccinated.
I hope this information is helpful, Mike. I recommend keeping an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for future updates and announcements, and checking the
Know Before You Go page before your visit.
Best magical wishes,
Thiana
