Greetings Marianne, and welcome to
planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with a great question, and I'd be happy to assist you today.
With the evolving global public health situation, it's more important than ever to stay up to date with current protocols for visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth. I like to follow the
Disney Parks Blog and
official social media accounts for the most accurate information. Recently, it was announced that starting June 15,
face coverings will be optional for vaccinated Guests in most areas of the theme parks and resorts. Because children under 12 are not yet able to receive a Covid-19 vaccine, they are required to wear face masks in indoor venues, on
attractions, and while using transportation. All Guests, regardless of vaccination status need to keep face coverings on while riding
Disney transportation.
My family and I will be vacationing to Walt Disney World in just a couple of months, and our little Mouseketeers are both under 12, so they will still be donning their favorite face coverings while enjoying
attractions and exploring indoor areas. Fortunately, they've become quite accustomed to sporting a face mask wherever they go, so wearing them in theme parks is a normal part of their world. There are some really cute designs available on
shopDisney, and my kiddos have already selected their favorites for our upcoming trip. Since the vaccinated adults in our party will still be wearing masks on transportation and might opt to wear them in more crowded areas of the parks, we're also planning to pack plenty of this year's most essential fashion accessories.
I hope this is helpful as you continue to dream about your next Walt Disney World adventure. This is
an especially exciting year to visit, and if there's anything else we can do before you embark on your journey, come see us at planDisney anytime.
Wishing you a great, big, beautiful tomorrow!
Betsy
