Hey Gary!
A warm welcome to planDisney. Thank you for visiting us with your wondEARful question about experience updates at Walt Disney World Resort.
Gary, during the phased reopening of Walt Disney World Resort, the health and safety of our Guests and Cast Members are at the forefront. We understand that earlier this week, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced plans to modify COVID-19 guidelines across the state of Florida. He will also be allowing businesses to be more flexible when it comes to health and safety guidelines.
As we evaluate these updates, the most recent plan is to maintain our current health and safety measures regarding face coverings.
Face coverings are still required in all of Walt Disney World Resort for all Guests ages 2 and up. Face coverings can only be removed while dining and swimming. You may temporarily remove your face covering while actively eating, drinking, or taking a photo outdoors, but you must be stationary and maintain physical distancing protocols.
However, onsite temperature screenings will be phase out at Walt Disney World Resort for Cast Members beginning May 8 and Guests on May 16.
I encourage you to
follow the experience updates page for up-to-date information on the phased reopening of Walt Disney World Resort.
If you have any additional questions, please visit planDisney again. We are all EARS!
Wishing you a Magical Vacation,
Priscila
