Will there still be a mask mandate in November? I don't want to have to walk around with that on.

Hello, Missy! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.

Here at planDisney, we are a group of moms, dads, grandparents and even puppy parents that love sharing our wealth of knowledge about planning a Walt Disney World vacation. Knowing whether or not mask mandates will still be in effect later this year is a little out of our wheelhouse especially since things are constantly changing during these unprecedented times.

I can tell you that as of writing this, Guests visiting Walt Disney World must wear face coverings while inside and on transportation at Walt Disney World. If you are comfortable you may remove your face covering while outside during your vacation. However, that could change tomorrow or next week or next month. For updates, I suggest keeping an eye out over on the Disney Parks Blog before your vacation later this year. They do a great job of keeping us all up-to-date with the ever-changing health and safety protocols around the Walt Disney World Resort.

If you'd like to change your vacation to a later date when things are not so uncertain, you can give the existing reservation support line a phone call at (407)939-1936 to see what your options are. I'm not sure how they are handling the cancellation policy at this time but it never hurts to ask.

It's hard to say what returning to a world of magic will look like in the coming months but I do know that vacation at Walt Disney World during this time is still a lot of fun with or without a face covering. If you have any other questions before your trip, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm here to help.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
