Hi Becky!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.
As Walt Disney World Resort continues to
Return to a World of Magic, they remain focused on providing an environment that best promotes health and safety for Cast Members and Guests.
During this time of phased reopening, Walt Disney World has required face coverings at all times, unless a Guest was actively eating or drinking while seated. Recently, this policy was amended for
face coverings to be
optional in outdoor common areas. Guests must still wear face coverings once they enter a queue line for
attractions, theaters or
transportation, and continue to wear them throughout those experiences. Any indoor location at Walt Disney World Resort will still require face coverings for all Guests at this time.
Physical distancing requirements are still in place, but have been reduced from six feet to three feet in theaters, attractions and when using Walt Disney World Transportation. Six-foot distancing measures are still required in dining and shopping locations.
As the country continues to follow CDC recommendations and modify COVID-19 guidelines, Disney will continue to evaluate their safety measures to best serve their Guests and Cast Members, and thoughtful adjustments will be made as time goes by.
I hope this helps with your planning, and you'll soon be enjoying a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation! Diane W.
