Greetings, Dominique, and welcome to planDisney! First things first, happy early birthday to your son! I love that you'll be celebrating together with the magic of a Disney cruise.
Dominique, I understand why you're interested in choosing an itinerary that includes
Marvel Day at Sea – the Character meet-and-greets, special entertainment, themed activities, and other fun add an extra sense of adventure, especially for a fan of Super Heroes. However, at the time of writing this, it appears that Marvel Day at Sea is only scheduled for select sailings through March 1, 2026. That said, I have some ideas to share that you can consider as alternatives.
There is a 3-Night Bahamian Cruise from Port Canaveral on the
Disney Wish that works for your travel dates. It departs on August 14 and returns on August 17, 2026. Here are some things about this sailing that might interest you:
- One of the rotational dining locations is Worlds of Marvel, which features an in-person appearance by Spider-Man!
- Your son may really enjoy Marvel Super Hero Academy, which is for ages 3 to 10. Kids will train to be Super Heroes, with the help of a hero.
- There will be a Pirate Night on this cruise as well, likely on Day 2. It's a highlight for my kids. Guests dress in pirate gear, there's a special deck party, and even fireworks!
- The Hero Zone is a great place for families to go to move around and play together. Don't miss the Incredibles-themed obstacle course.
- You'll have a chance to spend some time on Castaway Cay, Disney's private island.
If you have some flexibility in your dates, Dominique, you might want to consider sailing on the
Disney Destiny. There are a few sailings close to, but not exactly within, your specified dates. However, if you're looking for a Disney cruise with Marvel heroes and villains, this is it! The incredible Grand Hall features details that honor Wakanda, including a bronze statue of the Black Panther. There are fun hero and villain encounters throughout the ship. You'll find Worlds of Marvel and the Hero Zone here, also.
Once you book your sailing, you can
add onboard gifts to your reservation for an additional cost. It could be fun to choose a birthday surprise! The selection can change depending on the departure port, but you can see if there is anything hero-themed. There is also in-room décor that you can order, and a Captain Mickey Cupcake is always a good idea!
