Pluto with children on Main Street

I was married at the Polynesian resort. This year I am going back to WDW with my family. We would love a family photo shoot - it would need to be short as our children are disabled and won’t manage longer. Is the mini fine art photoshoot still an option?

Welcome back to planDisney, Elaine. It sounds like you are planning a spectacular trip this fall!

Several of my planDisney friends have experienced the Disney Fine Art portrait sessions. They were a great way to get some wonderful family portraits at unique venues on property, including the Walt Disney World Resort hotels, and they offered "mini" and "enhanced" sessions. Unfortunately, these days, they typically only handle wedding and engagement photography. In fact, Luau Pointe at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is no longer available due to the construction of new Disney Vacation Club Resort rooms. However, you are welcome to email them at WDW.DISNEY.PORTRAITS@DISNEY.COM to see if they have plans to bring these sessions back for families in the future.

In the meantime, I suggest booking a Capture Your Moment personalized 20-minute photo session. I did this just a few days ago with my family in Magic Kingdom Park, and I can attest that the photographers did an extraordinary job. I had over 100 shots from iconic locations such as the Main Street Confectionery and Cinderella Castle in that short period. Within minutes, I was able to download the digital images from my My Disney Experience account. I recommend purchasing Memory Maker ahead of your trip.

You can also choose to have your session at EPCOT, Disney's Animal Kingdom Park, and Disney's Hollywood Studios, and props are provided if you are celebrating a special milestone. They also include up to eight guests; keep in mind that everyone will need valid park admission and a theme park reservation. Spots fill up fast, especially at Magic Kingdom, so plan to make your reservations 60 days in advance by calling 00 800 2006 0809 (UK guests currently do not have an online booking option).

I hope your trip is picture-perfect, Elaine! See ya real soon!
