Hello there, Christian!
I can’t imagine a more magical way to ring in the New Year. I’m sure that seeing the look on your little one’s face the first time that they meet Mickey Mouse or see fireworks will be a memory that you will cherish forever. Make sure to bring a mobile charger so that you can take photos of all of these special moments because there will be lots!
Christian, you’ll be able to find fireworks and dining on New Year’s Eve at
Magic Kingdom Park,
EPCOT, or
Disney’s Hollywood Studios. I suggest reviewing the
Hours & Events Calendar to see what fireworks times would work best for your little one’s sleep schedule. At the moment, Magic Kingdom Park will have Fantasy In the Sky Fireworks at 6:30 p.m. and 11:50 p.m. Eastern, EPCOT will have Luminous The Symphony of Us at 6:30 p.m. Eastern, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios will have Fantasmic! at 9:30 p.m. Eastern.
Magic Kingdom Park is typically the most popular on New Year’s Eve, with fireworks right before midnight. If this theme park is a priority for you, you’ll definitely want to purchase tickets and make a
theme park reservation to ensure that you can enter the park. I think EPCOT would be a great option for your little one since it’s earlier, and there are great views of the fireworks all around the World Showcase. If you are a fan of Mickey Mouse and looking for more of a seated show with a few fireworks, Fantasmic! may be the best option for you.
Besides making theme park reservations, I recommend making an
advanced dining reservation for one sit-down meal at the theme park you plan on visiting. You can make advanced dining reservations 60 days before your vacation. Let us know if you’d like any other tips to start the New Year off right.
May the magic be with you!Melanie
