Ahoy there, Kristina!
Welcome aboard planDisney! What an exciting new adventure lies ahead for you and your spouse! Congratulations on tying the knot and setting your compass toward a Disney cruise vacation—because nothing says “happily ever after” like watching the sun set over the open sea with your favorite person by your side!
I’m happy to share that you and your spouse can absolutely book and enjoy a Disney cruise together without anyone 21 or older in your party.
Disney Cruise Line’s policy requires that any Guest under 18 who is not traveling with a parent or legal guardian must be accompanied by an adult 21 years of age or older in the same stateroom. Because both of you are over 18, you meet the requirement to sail on your own—you don’t need someone over 21 to travel with you. Think of it as your very own “adventure in the great wide somewhere,” no fairy godparent supervision required.
If this will be your first sailing as newlyweds, you’re in for a truly enchanted experience. From romantic dinners at
Palo Steakhouse or Enchanté to moonlit strolls on deck, Disney offers plenty of opportunities to relax, reconnect, and celebrate your new chapter together. Be sure to check the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for 1820 Society events onboard—this group is perfect for Guests ages 18 to 20 and often features mixers, games, and other fun activities that are a great way to meet fellow young adventurers.
You’ll also have access to all the adult-exclusive spaces onboard, including the Quiet Cove Pool, Senses Spa, and lounges offering evening entertainment. Just keep in mind that while you’ll be able to enter these areas,
alcohol consumption policies may depend on the ship’s departure port and destination—so you’ll want to review those details before you sail.
I hope this helps you feel ready to chart a course for your first voyage as a married couple, filled with laughter, love, and a sprinkle of pixie dust. Before long, you’ll be toasting to your “once upon a time” while the ship’s horn plays a tune that could make even Ariel sing along.
Sea ya real soon with boo-tiful nights and frightfully fun days,
Dustin
