Hi Marisol - I read last week that you've been on the Disney Dream. Do you recommend it for grandparents with or without their grandkids? Just wondering if it is more geared for adults? I appreciate your thoughts. Thanks!

    Hi Rachel!

Yes, I was on the Disney Dream exactly one week ago!  I can promise you that it is a stunningly beautiful ship and I thoroughly enjoyed myself.  If you are traveling with your grandchildren, you'll all have a wonderful time.  There is so much to do as a family that you'll have to be picky when choosing your activities.  There won't be time to do it all!  I guarantee that you'll be making magical memories that will last a lifetime.

My companions on my last sailing were my sister and our best girlfriend.  No kids, no husbands!!!  Can you say "GLORIOUS"?  The beauty of sailing on a Disney ship is that there is something and somewhere for every age group.  Personally, I loved Quiet Cove.  It's the adults only pool section on the ship.  You will not see or hear a child the entire time you're there.  Enjoy the pool, jacuzzi and swim up bar!  If you like to relax and have a cup of coffee, make sure to visit their adults only coffee bar with complimentary pastries.

Please, please, please, don't forget to book a reservation at Palo.  It's my favorite!  There is a small, additional charge for this restaurant, but worth every penny.  Again, no kids...

I also recommend you visit Serenity Bay.  It's the adults only beach on Disney's private island, Castaway Cay.  It's gorgeous and very relaxing.  I can also recommend the spa.  I spent two entire afternoons there.  I enjoyed the jacuzzis overlooking the ocean, their heated lounge chairs, their saunas and Rainforest showers.  That is all included in the $16.00 Rainforest day pass.

If you get the opportunity, book it without a minute's hesitation.  You'll have the time of your life with or without the grandkids.  I hope this helps.  Let me know if you have any other questions.  Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel!

Meet the Panelist: Marisol, Florida

Magic Kingdom still takes my breath away, but my favorite place to be is on a Disney ship looking at the horizon and breathing in that crisp, clean ocean air!  I love planning Disney vacations for others and making sure it's more than they dreamed. Learn More About Marisol
