    I am a Marine Vet and want to retrieve the colors on Main Street while we are at WDW. can you tell me the steps to take in order to achieve this?

    From what I understand, the service men and women who participate in the Flag Retreat Ceremony at the Magic Kingdom are selected at random. However, I always feel there is nothing wrong in asking for this honor. I would do a few things to increase your chances of being selected...

    -Start your day early in the Magic Kingdom. If you are at rope drop, chat with the nearby Cast Members about the selection process.
    -Stop by City Hall and speak to a Cast Member at Guest Relations and ask if you can participate.
    -Show your spirit! Wear a USA T-shirt or a USA Marines shirt. Anything you can do to stand out can help.

    My family and I find it to be an honor to watch the Flag Retreat Ceremony as often as possible when visiting Walt Disney World. It is great to take time out to pay respect to all who serve our country the wonderful United States of America! This ceremony takes place daily at 5:00 p.m. and all guests are welcome to join in this wonderful experience.
