It sounds like you'll be visiting
Disneyland Resort on D23 Day, on August 8! This very special one-day event celebrates the upcoming
D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim with limited-time offerings across both theme parks, the Downtown Disney District, and the Disneyland Resort hotel properties. Guests with valid admission and theme park reservations may enjoy special photo opportunities (including complimentary unlimited digital downloads of
Disney PhotoPass photos and a special Magic Shot), unique entertainment experiences, collectible merchandise, and limited-time character appearances during D23 Day. While it would be reasonable to expect that some of these special character interactions would include Marie and some of the other characters who are rarely seen in the parks, unfortunately, I've not yet seen confirmation of who will make an appearance. The only names of characters that I'm seeing on the lineup are Goofy and Max from Goof Troop, as noted on the D23 page. I'm hopeful that perhaps Marie might show up in the Disneyland Band Cavalcade, as it will feature 23 fan-favorite characters, but I'll be wishing on an evening star that you are able to catch sight of her at some point during your visit!
In case it is helpful, let me share my best strategy for locating character interactions throughout the theme parks, Kimberly. You can use the
official Disneyland mobile app and toggle over to "Characters" in the top menu tab of the map feature. Then, either use the map view or select "Show List" to see them displayed in alphabetical order.
