Hi there, Lita! Welcome to planDisney. Celebrating at The Happiest Place on Earth is always a magical experience. I see that you’re planning an upcoming visit on Cinco de Mayo! Let’s go ahead and see what’s lined up for your arrival.
As I’m looking on the
Hours & Events Calendar, I’m not seeing any mariachi bands or events happening inside the parks. However, from prior experiences, I know that a few of the restaurants in
Downtown Disney have their own Cinco de Mayo celebrations in store for Guests.
Last year,
Céntrico had live music in the afternoon and
Paseo had live music in the evening. Céntrico is the circular open-air restaurant and bar from Michelin-starred Chef Carlos Gaytán. Céntrico has a frozen Mangonada that Guests love to rave about! Paseo is just nearby and also by Chef Carlos Gaytán. While both restaurants explore Mexican cuisine, their differences lie in menu items, with more
elaborate dishes at Paseo and
staple dishes at Céntrico. If you’re dining at Paseo, my favorite tip is to snag a spot on their upstairs patio! It’s the perfect place to watch fireworks while enjoying a meal.
Outside of Cinco de Mayo, Disneyland Resort
finds ways throughout the year to celebrate Hispanic and Latin American cultures. From meeting beloved characters such as Miguel from Coco and Mirabel from Encanto, to celebrating the unbreakable ties of family and the spirit of Día de los Muertos at
Plaza de la Familia from August 21 through November 2, 2026, Disneyland Resort ensures that the stories, flavors, and traditions of Hispanic and Latin American communities are celebrated and shared with Guests all year long.
Lita, thank you so much for visiting planDisney! I hope this information gives you a couple of ways to spend your park day on Cinco de Mayo. If you have any questions until then, planDisney is here for you!
