Hi Marc, I just read your answer about upgrading from MYW tix to AP's when we arrive. Can I do this even if our tickets are tied into a room/ph pass and dining plan pkg? We are going this October and possibly again next summer. Thanks!

    Hi Kerri!

Yes you can use your Magic Your Way Tickets as a credit to upgrade to an Annual Pass even if they are attached to your Room Key and Dining Plan Package.  What happens is that when you upgrade to an Annual Pass, the tickets come off from your Room Key but your Dining Plan Credits will remain on your Room Key.  So you will have to remember to bring your Room Key and your Annual Pass to the Parks with so that you can get into the Parks and also utilize your dining credits.

I know that this works because this is exactly what I did in August 2009.  I had a 9 day Magic Your Way Tickets with Park Hopper, Water Parks, Fun, and More Options as well as the Standard Dining Plan Package on my Room Key (Key to the World).  I used the 9 Day Magic Your Way Tickets as a credit for an Annual Pass for my son and I. Also I was still able to use my Room Key and all the Dining Credits on my Room Key.  You will have to remember not to try to use your Room Key to try to get into a Park because it will not let you into the Parks after the upgrade to an Annual Pass.

If you upgrade to an Annual Pass before you use your Room Key to enter a Park, you will receive the most credit from your Magic Your Way Tickets.

I hope that you have a blast using your Annual Passes at Walt Disney World!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
