Debbie, hello and welcome to
planDisney. I am so glad you've stopped by to chat about your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation. March is such a wonderful time of year to visit. You are going to have a great time.
I think you'll be happy to know that Bell Services will absolutely hold your luggage for you on the day that you check out, Debbie. There are two ways of doing this. Once you have everything packed up but are still in your room, you can use the in-room phone to call down to Bell Services directly. They will send someone up with a luggage cart to collect and store your items. They'll count the number of pieces and give you a small receipt to hold on to until you are ready to get your things before you head off to the airport. The other option is to take your luggage directly to the Bell Services counter yourself. The counter is located right outside of the lobby doors. Someone will be there to count your pieces and give you that same receipt to hold on to. When you are back at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort getting ready to head to the airport you'll exchange that receipt at the Bell Services Counter for your items. This is a complimentary service for you to use, however, I do like to tip the Cast Members a few dollars for helping me out. They work hard and I always have a lot of luggage - of course, this is totally optional I just thought I would mention it to you. You can also take advantage of this luggage holding service on the day that you arrive if your room isn't ready yet and you'd like to enjoy the Walt Disney World Theme Parks, Disney Springs or the resort pool.
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is a favorite of mine, Debbie. You are in for a real treat. I just love everything about staying here. If you have a free afternoon or evening, one of my family's favorite things to do is hang out in the
Tambu Lounge area which is upstairs right outside of 'Ohana. They offer cocktails, mocktails and some small bite options. It is a very family-friendly space, in fact, my 14-year-old asks to go there every trip we take. She loves their wide variety of mocktails that are served in fun cups and with glow cubes. It's a real treat for her. My husband and I also love their cocktail menu. It's very Polynesian inspired which is really fun. The Lapu Lapu, for instance, is served in a hollowed-out pineapple. Here's a tip: if you order this drink and would like a refill be sure to save your pineapple. You can get a significant refill discount if they can reuse your pineapple!
I hope you really enjoy your upcoming vacation. If you have any other questions before you go, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help.
