In March 2012, I am sailing on the Disney Dream with husband and two kids. What is the night time temperature? Will we be cold at night? Also Are we allowed to wear nice jeans to dinner? I feel like I am searching for all new clothes for the family.

    Hi Mykel,

You are going to love the Disney Dream!  I fell in love with that ship last September, and I'm hoping to be sailing on it sometime soon.

The Bahamas in March is gorgeous!  Temperatures run in the lower 80s during the day.  The water at Castaway Cay will be a bit cooler, running at an average of 70 to 75 degrees.  The kids won't mind chillier water temperatures...my kids never feel it.  You are allowed to wear nice jeans to dinner.  Attire on the ship is cruise casual unless you are going to Palo or Remy, the Dream's adults only restaurants.  Don't go crazy with the clothes!   My kids would sometimes wear the same clothes to dinner that they wore to their youth clubs.  As long as they were clean, I didn't mind.   It seemed that most parents were doing the same because the kids run back to their clubs right after dinner.

At night, the temperatures usually drop, so you will have beautiful evenings to walk around on deck .   The air-conditioning always feel rather chilly at night inside the ship so I do always bring a sweater or wrap with me in the evenings.

I hope this helps.  Have a wonderful trip.  Bon voyage Mykel!

Magic Kingdom still takes my breath away, but my favorite place to be is on a Disney ship looking at the horizon and breathing in that crisp, clean ocean air!  I love planning Disney vacations for others and making sure it's more than they dreamed. Learn More About Marisol
