Jambo, Serena! Welcome to planDisney where we are WILD about answering questions!
Serena,
Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas- Kidani Village is a wonderful resort choice for your upcoming stay! With exotic animals around every turn, this property makes me feel like I've truly been transported to the heart of the savanna. When my family and I last stayed hEAR we loved spending time chatting with Cast Members about the animals near the animal overlook areas.
Now, as Timon and Pumba will tell you, time on the savanna can certainly work up an appetite (although grubs isn't my first choice in a snack), so let's talk about dining. Currently the Disney Dining Plan continues to be on pause. We don't yet have information about when the Disney Dining Plan might return or what options will be available. I encourage you to keep a close watch on the
Disney Parks Blog as sweet (and savory) announcements tend to pop up there first. In the meantime, Serena, you are still welcome to make
Advanced Dining Reservations for your March trip, 60 days in advance of your check-in.
IF the Disney Dining Plan returns prior to your visit, you'll be able to add that on at a later date.
Serena, my other recommendation (if you'd like to budget for dining) is to purchase
Disney Gift Cards in lieu of the Disney Dining Plan to use for snacks, meals, drinks and zebras...
well, maybe not that last part. Since the Disney Dining Plan hasn't been available for my last few trips we have used gift cards as a way to have our trip feel pre-paid. You can consolidate Disney Gift Cards up to $1,000 per card and should the Disney Dining Plan return before your trip, you can pay for it with those Disney Gift Cards!
Serena, I hope this information is helpful as you're looking ahead to next spring. Please come on back to planDisney with any additional questions.
Wishing you a vacation that will have you humming Hakuna Matata from sun up to sun down.
Lauren
