Hello, Connie!
Not to worry! The fantastic Dining Plan will most likely offer far more restaurants than are currently listed on Walt Disney World's website. As contracts are finalized, you'll find more and more restaurants added to the list of those which participate in the Dining Plan. For a more accurate idea of what the 2013 Dining Plan may look like, take a look at the
2012 Dining Plan PDF. Of course, we can't be certain that all of the restaurants which participate in the 2012 Dining Plan will do so in 2013, but the Dining Plan options you'll be able to enjoy in 2013 will look more similar to those available in the current year.
Unfortunately, Picnic in the Park is no longer offered at Animal Kingdom. However, there are lots of great grab and go items offered here. Our favorite Quick-Service restaurant, Flame Tree Barbeque, has sandwiches and a great fruit plate (in addition to really delicious ribs!) and you can pick up fresh fruit, veggies and dip, soft pretzels and trail mix at Harambe Fruit Market, if you'd like something even lighter.
Also, DVC Members are eligible to purchase the Tables in Wonderland Card which entitles the cardholder and up to 9 Guests to a 20% discount at select Table-Service restaurants throughout WDW. Should you skip the DIning Plan, this is another cost-saving perk of your DVC Membership. Go to dvcmember.com and hover on "Member Privileges" then click on "Member Perks." Next, click on "Walt Disney World Resort" then "Dining" to see a full explanation of the benefits of TIW.
Send more questions as you think of them; I'd love to help!
