Now that March is here, are the boats running from Old Key West to Disney Springs yet?

Ahoy, Mary! Thanks for rowing on over to planDisney with your question.

Mary, my family and I enjoyed a stay at Disney's Old Key West Resort just this past summer and were more elated than Captain Jack Sparrow when he was finally rid of Barbossa. This resort has an island vibe that is perfect for kicking back by the pool, enjoying the views (and of course, avoiding the pillaging pirates). I hope you love your stay!

Mary, if you haven't yet guessed, my favorite way to get around the Walt Disney World Resort is water transportation so I appreciate this question and am happy to help on your quest to ride the waves into Disney Springs. While March is upon us, the Walt Disney World Resort is still operating in a state of phased reopening which means that boat service to and from Disney Springs is on pause. We don't yet have a date when this service might resume, but I encourage you to keep a close eye on the Disney Parks Blog as treasure seems to be found there first. Since being a landlubber is in your sights for this trip, you'll find Disney Bus Transportation at the ready for all of your plans at Disney Springs.

Mary, best wishes for a vacation that is in shipshape! If you're hankering for a little more sea in your trip, consider dining at The BOATHOUSE® where you can feel the breeze and hear the splash with each bite. Mary, I hope this helps as you're navigating your upcoming trip and from all me hearties here at planDisney, we wish you fair winds and following seas. I hope you'll steer your ship back this direction if you have any additional questions.

    Yo ho ho!
