    Hi Sherri!

Thanks for asking me another question.  I have to admit that I haven't been on a road trip to Walt Disney World since I was a child and also when I graduated High School on my Senior Trip.  I do remember driving straight through 20 to 21 hours and then on another trip, stopping in Virginia for an overnight.  My advice to you is to start out very early in the morning (like 4:00 am to 5:00 am) and drive 11 or 12 hours on the first day.  Also try to adjust your start time to avoid major cities along the way during morning or evening rush hour.  This will get you at your hotel at 5:00 or 6:00 pm with time to eat dinner and relax before going to bed.  Then on the second day wake up early again and finish the remaining driving hours on your trip.

I asked some of my fellow Moms and Dads who drive often to Walt Disney World and here are their first day stopping points that they suggested:

    Richmond, Virginia
    Petersburg, Virginia
    Anywhere in South Carolina
    Fayetteville North Carolina
    Wilson, North Carolina

A big thanks to Moms Lynn L., Johnetta S., and Kimberly L. for there great input!

I hope that your driving adventure to Walt Disney World is magical!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
    Marc
