Hi Marc, Thank you for your quick answer. I think we will def do sept. Im so excited to see you are from NY as well. One other quick question. Do you think it is worth the extra$$ to upgrade to a deluxe. I will have dining plan. Any sugg? Thanks again

    Hi Alecia!

I just love the Value and Moderate Resorts in Walt Disney World, but that being said, the Deluxe Resorts are even more amazing and breathtaking. The Deluxe Resorts do cost quite a bit more per night, but they offer much larger rooms with Queen sized beds and other incredible perks such as being close to the Magic Kingdom or Epcot. In the Deluxe Resort category, there are more expensive Resorts than the others and they are the Contemporary Resort, the Polynesian Resort, and the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. These three Resorts are on the Resort Monorail Loop and are very close to the Magic Kingdom. The Boardwalk Resort, the Yacht Club Resort, and the Beach Club are more expensive too because of their proximity to Epcot. The lower priced Deluxe Resorts are the Wilderness Lodge Resort and the Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort. I really think that it is worth it to pay the extra cash to upgrade to a Deluxe Resort!

My Deluxe Resort pick for you is the Wilderness Lodge Resort! Here are some reasons why:
    1. The theme of the Wilderness Lodge which was designed like the Old Faithful Yellowstone Lodge. It feels like you are in the Pacific Northwest and the lobby alone will take your breath away!
    2. The Wilderness Lodge is very close to the Magic Kingdom, in fact it is only a short boat or bus ride to the Magic Kingdom.
    3. It has a great pool and two awesome sit down restaurants (Whispering Canyon Cafe and Artist Point) and a quick service restaurant (The Roaring Fork) right inside the resort
    4. The Fire Rock Geyser erupts on the hour

I would encourage you to give the Deluxe Resorts a try, but I will warn you that once you go Deluxe you may never want to go back to a Moderate or Value Resort!

I hope your next Walt Disney World vacation is extra magical!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
