    Marc, you recently answered a ? abt. opening ceremonies. My family tried to get from BC to MK for that & the bus took us to the TTC. We got stuck there waiting for the monorail to "open" & missed it. Can we get directly to the MK by bus &

    Hi Karen!

         It has been my experience the the Disney buses that travel from the Walt Disney World Resorts to the Magic Kingdom, drop their passengers off right outside the Magic Kingdom gates not at the Ticket and Transportation Center.  I just recently took the bus from the Beach Club to the Magic Kingdom in December 2010 and the Disney bus dropped us off right outside the Magic Kingdom gates.  If you take a taxi, the taxi will drop you off at the Ticket and Transportation Center because they are not allowed to drop passengers off at the Magic Kingdom gates.  One possibility is to take a taxi to the Contemporary Resort and then walk from the Contemporary Resort to the Magic Kingdom (a 10 to 15 minute walk).

    I hope that you do get to experience the Magic Kingdom's opening ceremonies on your next trip to Walt Disney World because it is truly magical!
