Do marathon runners run by the MK train station where a spectator will be able to see them without having to pay to get inside? What is the closest a spectator can get to Main Street to watch the runners without buying a ticket? Thank you! :)

    Hi Beth:

The great news is that spectators can actually get on Main Street itself to watch the marathon without having to buy a ticket.

One of the highlights of running last-year's half marathon was seeing the crowds of spectators cheering us on along Main Street, and then catching a glimpse of my family waiving to me after I ran through Cinderella's castle.

My family took the monorail to the Magic Kingdom, where Cast Members directed the crowd to specific designated areas along Main Street and in front of Cinderella's castle where spectators can get a great view of the marathon.  Ropes and Cast Members help direct the spectators and make sure they do not stay in the park after the race without a park ticket.

According to the marathon course map, the marathoners should be running up Main Street and through the castle between miles 10 and 11.

Good luck to your runner and have a great trip.
