Will be in FL from Mar 20 - Apr 11, 2012,planning 4 or 5 night stay in Disney. 4 adults 3 kids (12, 10, 4). Suggestions for place to stay and best date? Would prefer kitchen in room. This will be our fist time, possible animal kingdom? Also on a budget!

    Hi Jaime!

Walt Disney World is expected to be very crowded during that entire time frame.  If the exact dates don't matter, then I would recommend going at the end of March.  The last few days in March and the first few days in April might be less crowded than the other days in your "window".

Since you mention it is your first trip, I also wanted to recommend that you pick up the book "The Complete Walt Disney World" by Julie and Mike Neal.  It's a great book for first time visitors with just the right amount of information without being overwhelming.  It's also a beautiful book full of color photographs.  It will give you a good idea of what's to do there.

You mentioned that you are on a budget, but would like a kitchen.  Unfortunately, with that size of a group, you don't have a lot of choices.  You could go with a Disney Deluxe Villa, which would have a kitchen for the larger units, such as the 1 bedroom villa and up.  Another choice is the get two cabins at Fort Wilderness, which would provide enough room and a kitchen in each cabin.  You should also look at an off site property.   For example, an off property vacation home from the independent website All Star Vacation Homes.Com would provide you a kitchen and a home large enough for your group.

Good luck with planning and write back if you have any more questions!
