Hi, Connie!
Welcome to planDisney! How exciting that you have a visit to the Happiest Place on Earth coming up soon! I'm so glad you stopped by planDisney to ask this great question about World of Color viewing areas.
World of Color: ONE is currently on the
Entertainment Schedule during your visit in April, Connie, and I'm so thrilled for you! World of Color is a nighttime extravaganza on the waters of Paradise Bay created especially for Disney's 100th celebration and is a love song to Disney fans. It's inspiring, heartwarming, and may leave you a bit misty-eyed (or perhaps a little more than your eyes if you have a spot near the front). My family adores this show.
There are multiple ways to see World of Color, which usually occurs twice per night. (But always check the
Entertainment Schedule to confirm showings.) Joining the virtual queue on the day of the performance, as well as finding a standby viewing spot, are complimentary. While the
World of Color Dining Package and the
World of Color Dessert Party require a reservation, along with purchase.
Although always subject to change, currently, if you purchase a World of Color Dining Package your viewing area will be in the center circle of Paradise Gardens Park, and raised a few feet above, and behind, the virtual queue viewing area. There is a park map on the
Disneyland website that may help you see the center circle in Paradise Gardens Park that I'm describing. Keep in mind that the viewing area for Guests with a Dining Package is separate from the restaurant and is standing only. In fact, all viewing for World of Color is standing only, except for the Dessert Party, which is seated, and located just behind, and above, the Dining Package viewing area.
Our family has actually found really great viewing areas, right up front, from joining the virtual queue. For these free viewing areas, join the virtual queue on the
Disneyland app at 12pm the day you're in the parks. I always set a reminder on my phone, so I don't forget, as I'm usually quite distracted hunting down the seasonal churro at the cart by Redwood Creek Challenge Trail.
Then all you have to do is arrive around 45 minutes before the show begins to either the blue or the yellow entrance, whichever is specified for you in the Disneyland app after joining the virtual queue. The blue entrance area is on the pier and the yellow entrance is down near the Golden Zephyr. But don't worry, entrances will be well-marked and Cast Members are always happy to help guide you! And it really doesn't matter which entrance you go in, because both actually share the same viewing area once you enter. Feel free to move about the area to find the perfect spot. You'll find my family right up against the front railing. We don't mind getting a little wet.
I hope this information has been helpful in your planning, Connie, and that you have the most magical visit! Feel free to stop by again if you have any other questions! You've got a friend in me.
McCayla
