Is there a map located on your website for the where the bus/monorail can take you that includes the resorts and downtown disney?

    Hi Allison,

I don't know of a specific transportation map on the Walt Disney World website. With such a large network of buses, monorails and boats, it would be a huge map. However, I'm happy to give you some general guidelines. For the most part, buses run from each resort to all four theme parks, Downtown Disney and the water parks about every 20 minutes.

The monorail connects the Contemporary, Polynesian Village and Grand Floridian resorts to Magic Kingdom and, with a transfer at the Transportation and Ticket Center, with Epcot.

Water taxis or boats also connect a number of the resorts with the parks and Downtown Disney. So, no matter where you are, you have at least one option for accessing complimentary Walt Disney World transportation.

When I was staying at the Grand Floridian resort last month, I saw the test of a new system that showed the arrival time of the next bus for each location on an overhead monitor. I'm not sure when or if that innovation will roll out to other resorts, but it took the guessing out of the wait.

Some of my Disney Parks Moms Panel friends recommend the Transportation Wizard mobile app from Our Laughing Place to track transportation options at Walt Disney World. My family tends to simply go with the flow. Seldom in hundreds of visits have we waited longer than expected for transportation to get us where we want to go.

I hope that is helpful. Please let us know if the Disney Parks Moms Panel can do anything else to assist as you make your plans. Enjoy your visit!
