If you stepped into my home, you'd find a plethora of Disney theme park maps scattered throughout most of the rooms. We love sitting down as a family and looking at the maps together. I made up a game for my kids where I tell them adventure stories using the maps as a visual aid. It's one of their favorite things.
It's also nice to look through the maps before an upcoming trip. That way, you can familiarize yourself with the parks and plan out your adventure.
Tina, unfortunately, Disney is not currently mailing out theme park maps. However, you can download and print the latest theme park maps on the Disneyland Resort website. Here are the latest versions:

Disneyland mobile app. If you tap the location icon on the main screen, you can browse interactive maps of both theme parks. You'll even be able to see the latest wait times for the attractions, available character greetings, etc.
One last option is to see if you can purchase a map online from a site like eBay. I've noticed that you can sometimes get the latest versions of the maps for a small price.
