Mandy, thanks for your response! Just wanted to clarify the first part of my question. We have a MYW package, and I was curious as to how long I have to make changes to the dining plan and # of tix we booked, not cancelling. TY!

    Hi Alyssa!

Thank so much for clarifying for me, as Magic Your Way Packages and room only reservations have very different rules about changes and cancellations.  With a Magic Your Way Package you can add or remove Disney's Dining Plan and tickets up to 72 hours before your check-in date.  Park admission has slightly different rules, you are allowed to add/lower the number of and length of tickets up until 72 hours before your check-in date.  You are also allowed to add days and options to your tickets once you arrive, you just cannot reduce the amount of days or number of tickets.

My suggestion, if you are on the fence about the amount of days or options on your tickets, is to purchase the minimum amount required (certain discounts or special offers will require more than 1-day base ticket). Once you arrive you can add days or options at the pro rated price.  For example, if I purchase a 2-Day Adult Base Ticket for the current gate price of $195.96 with my Magic Your Way Package and decide that I need 5 days when I arrive, I will pay the difference between the 2-day base ticket and the 5-day base ticket.  This leaves me to only pay 111.83, instead of having to purchase a 3-day base ticket separately which would cost $279.03.

To wrap it all up, you have 72 hours before your check-in date to add or remove your Disney Dining Plan and amount or length of tickets.  Once you arrive at Walt Disney World, you can add the number of days to your tickets at the pro rated rate, but you cannot reduce the number of days or amount of tickets.  Just be aware that any changes made to your Magic Your Way Package, especially if it is going to lower the overall cost, will most likely result in a $50 change fee.  I hoped this cleared everything up and please let me know if there is anything else I can do to help!

    Kindest Regards,
