Is it mandatory to make a reservation at restaurants such as Chef Mickey's and Cafe Cape May? I have only been able to make one reservation for table service, I think I'm going to lose out on a lot of money because I purchased one of the dining plans.

    Hi, Sharel!

It really is very important to have dining reservations, especially for popular locations such as Chef Mickey's.

OK, now let's get you some dining locations!   When you say you only booked one reservation, is this because nothing was available, or your first choices were not available?   For example, if Chef Mickey's is not available, how about checking Garden Grill in Epcot where Chip and Dale are your hosts.  Or, if a "Goofy" breakfast at Cape May is not open, how about breakfast with Pooh and his Pals at Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom?

The key here is to be a bit flexible with days, restaurants, and times.  If Chef Mickey's is booked for breakfast, try dinner.   This is the great thing about the online reservations, you can play around and keep looking until you find what you are looking for.

One last thing:  Don't give up!  Guests need to show up for many locations or pay a no-show fee.  Because of this, tables will open up so keep checking!

If you would like, send me your travel dates and some locations you would like to dine at.  I can give you some alternate locations that will be similar that might work into your schedule.  I am happy to help so let me know!   No worries, Mickey Mouse has tons of restaurants so we can find some great locations for you and your family to enjoy.

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
