Hey there, hi there, Joseph! We are thrilled to see you've stopped by with a great question about the newly debuted MagicBand+ at Disneyland Resort.
I see your upcoming visit is just a few weeks away!
MagicBand+ works a bit differently at Disneyland Resort versus at Walt Disney World Resort. If you have a MagicBand+, it will need to be linked to your ticket, not an account. This means that if you all will be using MagicBand+, you will have to have each of the MagicBand+ devices so that you can link each one to each ticket. The other option would be to have everyone manage their own tickets and MagicBand+ devices.
You shared that you have all of the reservations and tickets linked to your account and I always recommend that one person in the group do just that to manage everyone. However, I also recommend that everyone also have their ticket on their own
Disney account. A ticket can be linked to more than one account, so you won't have any issues there. This means that if the group splits up or someone leaves the park, they have access to their own ticket.
While MagicBand+ should be charged enough to use it when you take it out of the package, I recommend getting them in advance if at all possible. This is because in order to link the device to your ticket, you may need to update the device and it may need to be charged longer for that to work. If you don't have time to order them, I just suggest bringing a portable charging bank to charge them on the spot with their chargers that come included.
Joesph, thanks again for taking the time to stop by! I hope you have the best time with your group at Disneyland Resort this month. See you real soon!
