    making our 5th visit to Disney World Dec 29th - Jan 4th, traveling with two children ages 8 & 13. We have heard from friends about how the theme parks are decorated very elaborately for the holidays as well as resorts. I just to verify it will still b

    Hi Michelle,

    You have heard right!  The holiday season is my absolute favourite time to visit Walt Disney World Resort, there is a festive feeling everywhere!  I could spend days looking at the elaborate decorations throughout Walt Disney World Resort!  It is truly beautiful, and every resort is decorated with their own special theming and touches unique to that resort.  In my experience, I have found that decorations begin to come down the first week of January, (usually starting January 2nd - 3rd), leaving plenty of time for you to enjoy the holiday decor.
