Making our 2nd trip to WDW in July with 17 yr old son and 12 yr old daughter. What would be good character meals for dinner? We will be using the DDP.

    Hi Lori,

I think everyone becomes a kid at heart while dining at a character meal. Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort is a favorite of many families, however if you're open to breakfast or lunch, I'd also check out the menus at 'Ohana breakfast at Disney's Polynesian Resort (featuring Lilo & Stitch) and Tusker House breakfast or lunch (featuring Mickey and friends) at Disney's Animal Kingdom. Both experiences came to mind as an appeal to older kids. Characters are always subject to change, but if your daughter (or son!) would like to meet Cinderella, 1900 Park Fare's Happily Ever After dinner might be a great choice. This experience would only require 1 table service credit per guest, as opposed to Cinderella's Royal Table in Magic Kingdom requiring 2 table service credits.  The visit to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is a nice treat, too.

It will be very important to book your Advanced Dining Reservations as early as 180 days prior to arrival. You can book online or by calling Disney Dining at 407-WDW-DINE, 407-939-3463.

Were my suggestions helpful, Lori? I hope so and please send us any other questions coming to mind.
