My DS 10 and I will be making our 1st trip to WDW in Dec. We will be celebrating Xmas and a birthdy - mine. Normally I don't care too much about mine own BD, but DS expects WDW to make a big thing out of it. What can I set up to make it magical?

    Hello Tracy,

Of course you should make a BIG deal about your birthday! Birthdays are special...especially birthdays celebrated at Disney World!!

My first recommendation is to make sure you pick up a complimentary celebration button at Guest Services when you arrive. Wear it with pride! It lets everyone know it's your big day. You never know what Pixie Dust a Cast Member may be able to share. Talk about magic! Your son will love the little surprises.

My next suggestion is to "surprise" yourself with a birthday cake! When you check-in at virtually any Table Service restaurant, you can buy a six-inch vanilla or chocolate cake. Or if you would like something made just for you, a specialty cake in a variety of shapes and sizes can be ordered by calling 407-WDW-DINE. At dessert time, your son never has to know you arranged for the cake!

Or I think you both should consider getting Pixie Dusted at Harmony Barber Shop. Right on Main Street U.S.A., the Barber Shop sees clients young and old, boys and girls. You both can have Pixie Dust (colored gel and glitter) sprinkled into your hair for some magic and sass! You can call 407-WDW-PLAY to reserve a spot.

No matter what you choose, I know you will have a spectacular birthday. Here's hoping every wish of yours comes true!

My family loves our Main Street in Ohio. But there's simply no comparison to Main Street U.S.A.! We don't get to Disney quite as often as I'd like, but that just means finding new ways to sprinkle Pixie Dust on our adventures! Learn More About Monina
