We will be making a trip to Disney World in 2017. I have been told to book room reservations well ahead of time, even a year ahead. How early should I book them? I would like to take advg. of special offers but offers aren't avail. until year of.

    Hi Jennifer,

Planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort can’t never be too early. I know I’m thinking about a few years later when the new Star Wars Land would be completed!

Some types of room are very popular and book well in advance, for example The Little Mermaid Standard Rooms at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. It is a Value resort and these rooms are beautifully decorated. Although at this time you could make a reservation for 2017, it would be a room-only, rack rate and still subject to change, up until when pricing is finally announced.

My recommendation is to book as early as possible, however if you are flexible with dates and/or resort hotel options, you would be able to take advantage of any special offers that may come out. Keep an eye to the Special Offers page, and once something comes up that you can take advantage of, simply call a vacation planning specialist at (407) 939-1936, or your travel agent. By the way, they can also help you with a room-only reservation up to 500 days in advance.

2017 will be among us in a blink of an eye. In the meantime, come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any other question you may have.
