When making reservations, is there an option to purchase a fast pass? Is that done upon arrival? Also, for a park hopper ticket, can you only hop as many parks as you choose days? I'm doing a 2 day, does that mean I can only choose 2?

    Hi Amy!

Your Walt Disney World vacation will soon be here! In only a few weeks, you will be in sight of Cinderella Castle ready to conquer the Magic Kingdom mountain range, cruise with yo-ho-ho singing pirates, and fly with Dumbo!

When Walt Disney World reopened in the summer of 2020, FastPass+ did not return. Sometime this fall, Disney Genie+ will be implemented in its place. Genie+ will be a purchased add-on to your ticket that allows you to pick the next available return time for a Lightning Lane entrance one attraction at a time. The Lightning Lane allows you to bypass the stand-by queue just as FastPass+ did. For example, you select 9:30 am to board Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. After zipping and dipping on the wildest ride in the wilderness, you may pick a time for another attraction. The program's start date has not been announced yet, but you will be able to add Genie+ to previously purchased tickets once it is released. You may add it one park at a time the day of your visit or in advance for your length of stay.

Highly popular attractions, such as the Magic Kingdom's Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, will be unavailable with Genie+. The most sought after rides may be accessed through the traditional queue or with a separately purchased Lightning Lane pass bought the day of your visit. Disney has not yet announced which attractions will be Genie+ and which ones will require a separate Lightning Lane selection.

Each day of your Park Hopper you may visit as many parks as you can handle. My children recently managed to visit all four in one day! With a 2-day Park Hopper, there is no limit to the number of parks you may visit in a day. You do need to go through the tapstiles of your reserved park first. You may begin park hopping at 2 pm.

Enjoy your days in the parks!
