Hello! If making reservations for a group of 12 (2 infants included in that) at the Rose & Crown Fireworks, is it better to call or book on the app and do I need to wait 60 days out from the first day of my check in date?

    Hi Kelly!

Welcome to planDisney!  I'm so glad you stopped by to "dish" about one of my favorite topics - dining at Walt Disney World Resort!  When deciding on dining reservations for my family, I like to look for these "value-added" experiences too.  With the Rose & Crown Fireworks Dining Package, you'll not only get to enjoy a delicious dinner but also a spectacular fireworks view.

Kelly, while you are always welcome to call a Cast Member for help with any vacation planning needs, I usually find it quicker to make my dining reservations on the My Disney Experience Mobile App or through the website.  If you're staying at a hotel in the Disney Resorts Collection or other select hotels, you can make your dining reservations for your entire stay starting 60 days from your check-in date beginning at 6:00 AM.  All other Guests will need to make reservations day by day.  I tried myself and confirmed with a Cast Member that you can make a reservation for a party of 12 online for this particular dining package without a need to specifically call in for that request.  This reservation is very popular and has limited availability each night, so I suggest being online and ready to make your reservation as soon as they open for you!  Another tip I can offer is to try and plan this for later in your trip if your park plans are flexible.  When making reservations for the entire length of your stay 60 days before check-in, you may see more availability for some hard-to-get restaurants or dining packages by searching at the end of your vacation.

If nighttime entertainment is a top priority for your travel party, I'd also suggest checking out the Fantasmic! Dining Packages available at Disney's Hollywood Studios.  These don't offer a meal during the show but instead give you more flexibility to choose a restaurant and dining time earlier in the day.  At the end of your meal, you'll receive a voucher to present at Fantasmic! for access to a VIP seating area.  We have a toddler in our family, and I like having the peace of mind of knowing that we don't have to line up early for nighttime shows to guarantee our seats.

Kelly, I hope this information is helpful and that you enjoy a wonderful visit to Walt Disney World Resort!  If you have any other questions, please stop by to see me or any of my panelist pals again here at planDisney - we're all ears!

    Cheers,
    Kristi
