When making a reservation and requesting a preferred room location due to being handicapped do you still need to pay the higher price for the room?

    Hi Julie,

I just spoke with the Disney Reservations Center to confirm. If you were to book a Handicapped Accessible room, you would not pay extra. Those rooms have modified showers and are accessible for guests with mobility issues. They are located closer to the food courts and lobby than most of the standard rooms but are not necessarily in the preferred buildings. If you want to be guaranteed to be in a preferred location, you will need to pay for a preferred room.

I hope this helps and that you have a wonderful vacation,
