Hi there, Sheila,
Oh boy! You may want to set your alarm. In my experience with booking advanced dining reservations, I have found availability for many restaurants beginning at 6:00 AM Pacific Time 60 days before the day I want to visit. Some of my planDisney pals have also reported some reservations opening up as early as 3:00 AM Pacific Time.
I recommend some persistence and flexibility when it comes to booking dining reservations. Some of the more popular dining destinations, such as
Blue Bayou Restaurant and
Lamplight Lounge, often run out of reservations very quickly. But many times, it is worth checking as frequently as possible. Sometimes, reservation availability for a given restaurant opens up some hours or even days after that typical 60-day mark. Other Guests with existing dining reservations may occasionally need to schedule for another time. So when their reservations are canceled, you may be able to pick them up. By checking for availability frequently and checking for different reservation hours, you may find what you are looking for.
Tony’s Tip: Even if you don’t happen to find an advanced dining reservation that works out for you, there’s still some hope if you use the
Disneyland mobile app. On the day of your visit, tap the ‘+’ button on the bottom of the screen and select “Check Dining Availability.” Input your party size and that day’s date. Since other Guests may cancel their reservations up to two hours in advance, you can search for specific hours of course. Or you may also select the “Now” choice for dining time. That will allow you to access the mobile walk-up list of nearby participating restaurants. And don’t forget that
mobile food and beverage orders are accepted at most quick-service dining locations.
I hope you have a
delicious time at the Disneyland Resort, Sheila. Please stop by planDisney again if you have any more questions.
