Hi Brenton! Welcome to planDisney.
I just returned from a Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and we park hopped 'til we dropped almost every day. My family considers the
Park Hopper Option a must-have, and one day we will conquer our bucket list item of visiting all four theme parks in one day (we've done three!). I'm glad to hear you've added park hopping to your vacation plans, and that you're making your Disney Park Pass reservations early. Planning high five!
At this time, you only need to make a
Disney Park Pass reservation for your first theme park of the day. When Park Hopper Hours begin (currently at 2:00 p.m., but that is subject to change, so be sure to check the
official Park Hours calendar), you'll be able to "hop" to another theme park as long as it has not reached capacity. You do not need a theme park reservation for any park other than your first park of the day. You are required to visit the park at which you have a theme park reservation before you may begin park hopping.
So, if your Disney Park Pass reservation is for EPCOT, you must enter EPCOT and then wait for Park Hopper Hours to begin. If you wanted to head to Magic Kingdom Park next, you'd be free to do that as long as it has not reached capacity, and you do not need a theme park reservation. You can continue to park hop throughout the day following those guidelines.
As the
phased reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort continues, Park Hopper procedures are subject to change, so be sure to take a look at the Park Hopper Option webpage as you get closer to your visit. I also recommend reading the
Disney Parks Blog for the latest news and updates. It's a great resource for news, planning tips, and fun features to get you excited about your Disney days!
Thank you for stopping by with your question, Brenton! We're here to help if you think of any further questions as you plan and dream.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
