When making online reservations which of the following are the most popular and what order should i go in? We want Yak and Yeti, Chef Mickey's, Whisp Canyon, Fant Pkg, Safari Brkfst, O'Hana's, CRT, and BBB. Thank you!

    Carla:

You must be 180 days out from check-in and eager to get everything on your wish list?!

FYI: I confirmed my list below on touringplans.com's blog entry (6/14/09) which ran data on some of the popular (i.e. hardest reservations to come-by) restaurants at Disney. My personal experience was in-line with their results!

    1. Cinderella's Royal Table: So sought-after that people use elaborate tricks like setting their alarms to begin calling 30 seconds before 7:00 a.m.!  HINT: You can begin making reservations from 180 days out from your first day of vacation, but can make reservations for your entire stay. So, if you book for the last day of your stay, you could actually get a reservation here from up to 190 days out.
    2. Chef Mickey's: Book one of the latest breakfast seatings so you leave the Magic Kingdom as it fills up near noon.
    3. Ohana: Probably as popular as Chef Mickey's. We will typically book around 7 or 7:30 p.m. so that we can go to the pier after dinner to see the Magic Kingdom fireworks.
    4. Tusker House Safari Breakfast. Not my favorite because I feel folks are riding Kilamanjaro Safaris and Expedition Everest with minimal lines while I gain a few pounds at the buffet...
    5. Fantasmic Dining Package: Because there are multiple restaurants that provides these seats, you have more time to book.
    6. Whispering Canyon: Growing in popularity, get an early dinner seating so you still have time to leisurely return to the Magic Kingdom for the parade and fireworks.
    7. Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique: Most folks will make their dining reservations before they think about their hair (can't believe a Southerner like me is saying that...). Book at the one in Cinderella's Castle as early as you can so you can get the most of your day in your princess look!
    8. Yak and Yeti. When I told a cast member I'd booked here, he asked me "really?" Book it last.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Whitney, Mississippi

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
