    Making last minute plans, Wanting to go to a character breakfast on Oct 21 2013, are there ever cancellations?

    Hello Jodi, welcome to the Disney Parks Mom's Panel.

    It is common to have dinner cancellations as the date approaches, due to other guests change in plans. There will probably be cancellations during even on the same day.
    Still, I would recommend having a second (and third) restaurant as an option.

    During your visit you should be able to experience low to moderate crowds, so counter service restaurant should have low to moderate lines as well.

    Some character breakfasts serve until 11:30 am, allowing guests to plan for a late breakfast or brunch.
    At these times reservations are usually available.

    Character dinning is a big part of my family's Disney vacation and restaurants like The Crystal Palace, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall and 'Ohana are always a must during our visits.
