We're making an 8 hr drive to Disney and with 2 littles(almost 3y/o and 11mo), we thought it might be good drive most of the trip in the evening hours while they sleep in the car. Is there any problem with us arriving at the resort late/after midnight?

    Hi, Amanda!

You are welcome to arrive at your Walt Disney World resort at any time. Friendly Cast Members are at the front desk 24/7 so feel free to check-in whenever you arrive. Remember that you will still be charged for that night's stay regardless if you show up during the day or well after midnight.

Just speaking as a mom who has done plenty of car rides with a backseat full of kids, you may want to also consider leaving after morning naps, then stopping for lunch. Hopefully another nap would take place in the afternoon, and you could arrive by bedtime. This way you do not have to wake your sleeping babies out of the car, and everyone, including mom and dad, can get a good night's sleep in the cozy resort room.  Of course it is up to you, but I found this system to work when my kids were just wee Mousketeers!

Whatever you decide, drive safe with your little ones and we will See You Real Soon!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
