Hiya Jane! Thanks so much for stopping by
planDisney.
I see that your trip is coming up right around the corner - how exciting! You're definitely in for a treat visiting during the
Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration. There is so much magic to discover - new nighttime fireworks spectaculars, special food and beverage offerings, brand new attractions, and so much more!
"Reservation" is a word that certainly calms the minds of over-planners like myself. It's great to know that a Resort, Theme Park, Attraction, or dining experience is all set up and ready for your arrival! For
Park Pass Reservations to the four Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks,
dining reservations, and
Disney Genie+ and Lightning Lane attraction reservations, having everyone in your group linked as Friends & Family in your
My Disney Experience account will allow you to plan for everyone or for just a part of your group.
My good friend and fellow panelist
Ariane just provided
an All-Star answer to another Guest's question about this, where she provides a clear step-by-step guide to make sure everyone is linked. Check that out and then start the hunt to make your reservations! As Ariane mentions, dining reservations are the one place where you can include others you are linked to, or simply make a reservation for a generic "Guest 2, Guest 3, etc." so you'll know how many seats you have without needing to decide in advance exactly who will be dining.
For
Disney Resorts Collection hotel reservations, it all depends on the size of your group. For larger groups (10 rooms or more), Disney has a special team to facilitate - you can reach them at 407-939-1942. Otherwise, Resort hotel reservations are one aspect of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation that is tied only to the lead Guest on the reservation and the others who will be staying in that room. There's not really a need for linking here beyond those staying with you in the same room. If you do need to update who is staying in a particular room, you can do so either through My Disney Experience or by speaking to a Cast Member at the Front Desk of your Resort.
I hope this information helps in your planning. Get ready to make some magical memories!
