We are making our first trip to Disney, is it better to rent a stroller at the park or bring my own? any and all advice would be great

    Hi JanMarie!!!

My wife and I have done lots and lots of research on strollers for our son, so I can definitely give you some information on this.  I figured that I can just give you the pros and cons to each.

The advantages to renting a stroller is that you do not have to worry about transporting it outside of the parks (i.e. on the Disney Transport Buses.)  You are able to pick it up upon entering the theme park and drop it off when leaving.  We have never rented, but I have heard that the Disney strollers are very easily maneuverable and quite comfortable for the kids.  The main disadvantage to renting a stroller is the amount of money you will spend each day, and over the course of a week, on the stroller.  This amount can definitely add up quickly!!

The advantages to bringing your own stroller is that your own stroller can be quite smaller than the ones you can rent.  They will also probably be more comfortable than the hard plastic Disney stroller.   The main disadvantage to bringing a stroller is that you have to keep up with it the entire time you are at Disney.  Handling a stroller on a Disney Transport Bus can be quite challenging at times depending on how many people are on the bus.  We always bring a small, easily collapsible stroller with us and are able to handle it pretty easily.

I don't think you can go wrong with either choice.  I would just go with the one that fits you best based on the pros and cons I've listed!!

Please let me know how else I may assist you!!

    Have a magical trip!!
