We are making our first trip in August and have not told our children that are 8 and 2. We want to be creative in telling them and were wondering if there were any suggestions. Also, My 2 yr old LOVES Tigger. Would the character dinning be a good idea?

    Hi there Amanda,

Let me start by saying that your kids will have an absolute BLAST at a character dining experience and if your little one is a Tigger fan, I must suggest both Crystal Palace and 1900 Park Fare (breakfast) as wonderful choices, as the lovable bouncer, along with his friends, makes an appearance at both locations!

As far as surprising them, let me commend you for being able to keep a secret!  I have never been good at surprises and am usually the one giving Christmas presents out on December 1st!  That said, I have shed a tear or two while watching the sweetest "Surprise!  We're going to Disney World" videos on You Tube and I think one of my favorites involved a box, addressed to the children from Mickey Mouse!  The box contained helium, Disney-themed balloons which floated out as they opened the box!  Inside, the mom had packed lots of clues including Mickey Ears, Autograph Books, and Disney Plush toys (available from Disney Store).  It was so heart warming to hear the little boy put two and two together and realize they were headed to the Most Magical Place on Earth!

    Best Wishes,

    Amanda F.
