We are making our first family WDW vacation in February! Do we need a park pass for Chef Mickey's? Where can I find the times for the Electric Light Parade (one of my favorite childhood memories!). I want to coordinate this with one of our character meals.

Hi Brigette! February will be here before you know it and it is a great month for a Disney vacation!

Chef Mickey character dining is located in the Contemporary Resort. This resort is the closest one to the Magic Kingdom and is located on the monorail circle. You do not need a park pass to enjoy this experience but being so close to the Magic Kingdom you might want to include some time in the park during that day.

The Electric Light Parade on the Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake is indeed something many of us can remember from the beginning of Walt Disney World opening. There is something very magical about watching the lights and hearing the music as it passes by on the water. The parade begins approximately at 9pm at the Polynesian and Grand Floridian resorts moving by the Magic Kingdom and then on to Wilderness Lodge around 9:30.  From there it will sail off to Fort Wilderness for an approximate 9:45pm show and finishing at the Contemporary Resort around 10pm. If you need to reach another resort after your Chef Mickey meal you can either take a monorail to the Polynesian and Grand Floridian resorts or you can head down to the Contemporary Resort marina and hop on a boat for the Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness Campgrounds.

Enjoy your time and please let us know if we can assist you with any other planning questions!
