    Making early plans for a Jun'14 trip with kids,7&3. Stayed in mods before but want to upgrade to a deluxe. We're strongly considering the WL. Are bunk beds available with a standard room or need an upgrade? Aside from location, any advs of WL v. AKL?Th

    Hi Christy,

    Bunk beds are available in standard rooms at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, but not as a requested option. My family has been delightfully surprised to have been assigned a standard room with bunk beds, but to guarantee a two-tiered bed you need to book a preferred room Woods View-Bunk Bed or Courtyard View-Bunk Bed.

    Only a boat ride away from the Magic Kingdom, Disney's Wilderness Lodge has an excellent location. Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, however, offers the unique experience of staying in a room located on the edge of a savanna filled with African animals. Waking up to giraffes and antelope outside your window is an adventure you won't forget. The restaurants at AKL offer African flared menu options for slightly exotic meals and the zero entry pool here is one of the best on WDW property.

    Christy, both resorts you are considering are well themed, offer interesting restaurants, and deluxe amenities. You will be delighted no matter which one you choose.
