When making Disney dining reservations 60 days in advance, can I start booking at midnight eastern time

    Hiya Michelle!

Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your delicious question! Dining at Disney World is such a treat. There’s truly something for every palate, whether you’re grabbing a quick-service bite between attractions, savoring a fine/signature dining experience, or enjoying the pixie-dusted magic of character dining. My family always makes it a point to do at least one character meal every trip. One of our favorites? Story Book Dining at Artist Point in the Wilderness Lodge. My kids adore meeting Snow White, my husband is all about the Seven Dwarfs, and I’ll admit—I live for my moment with the Evil Queen. It’s a royal banquet that makes everyone in our family feel like they got their own happily ever after.

Now, let’s jump right into your question! Brand-new dining experiences usually open for booking at 6:00 AM on the day they’re released. But here’s a little extra pixie dust for you—if you’re staying at a Disney Resort, you can make reservations for your whole trip (up to 10 nights) starting 60 days before your arrival. That means you can lock in all your dining plans at once without having to wake up early day after day.

If you’re not staying at a Disney hotel, you can still book 60 days in advance of each dining date. Either way, I recommend being ready bright and early (with your morning coffee or maybe even a Mickey waffle) right at 6:00 AM.

Booking these delicious experiences is almost as exciting as sitting down to enjoy them! My go-to method is using the My Disney Experience app—it’s quick, easy, and lets you pick your date, time, and party size. If you’re feeling a little flexible, the time range option is a lifesaver for snagging that first available table.

You can also hop right over to the restaurant’s page and search for a reservation directly. And here’s a little pixie-dusted tip from my own Disney playbook: if your perfect time isn’t available right away, don’t give up—keep checking! You’d be surprised how often a little persistence pays off.

Michelle, I hope this helps you land those dream reservations so your trip can be sprinkled with all the flavor, fun, and magic your heart desires. If you have any additional questions, feel free to visit us again.

    See ya real soon,
