I am going to be making our dinner reservations soon for a party of 13. Two of them are 1 and 2 years old do I include them in the total? Is it best to call and make the reservations?

    Hi, there!

Deborah, your vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort with your big party sounds like BIG fun. I traveled with my extended family of 14 a few years ago, and we had the best time together, especially during meals. It's my pleasure to answer your questions about making dining reservations!

When making dining reservations at the Walt Disney World Resort, be sure to include the number of all Guests that will be present, including the infants in your group. I prefer to make my family's dining reservations online when my dining reservation window opens up (bright and early, with a cup of coffee in hand, of course!). When I was making dining reservations for my extended family of 14 though, I found that some restaurants, like Sanaa and San Angel Inn Restaurante, couldn't process an online reservation for our big party. I was able to make those reservations, but I needed to make them over the phone. I recommend booking what you can online for your group of 13, and then calling a Dining Specialist for any reservations that you couldn't book due to your party size. You can call the Dining Reservation line at (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-1947.

The Disney Parks Moms Panel has some great tips for traveling with a big family. I hope you find them helpful!

Thanks for stopping by, Deborah. Please visit us again with any new questions you may have about your magical holiday visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
