    I am making dinner reservation at 1900 to celebrate my daughter's 5th birthday. They are asking for the actual birth date and I am concerned that since we won't be there on the actual date the birthday will not get celebrated. Advice?

    Hello Alisa,

    There are no written rules about celebrations at Disney World. It is after all the happiest place on earth!

    During our last visit, my daughter celebrated her eighth birthday even though her birthday was the week prior to vacation. We were unable to travel the week of her birthday. But that didn't stop her from partying the following week! I think Disney understands not all of us are fortunate enough to visit on our exact birthdays.

    When a Cast Member or dining reservation asks if your family is celebrating anything special, be honest with them. Tell them that you are there to celebrate a special birthday. You never know what Pixie Dust they may be able to sprinkle.
